Colour Create - Red, Pink & White

Hi everyone and welcome to the final Colour Create Challenge for 2010! This week our colours were chosen by the amazingly talented Dena. The colours Dena chose were Red, Pink and White, with the optional extra being Hearts. (I hope I haven't gone too OTT with the hearts - I did get a little carried away). This was a great challenge for me because I struggle to use Red and Pink together - I love it when I have to try something out of my comfort zone!

The cute pic Dena chose to inspire us with is below:-

This challenge is sponsored by I Did It Creations who are offering the lucky winner 2 Digi Images of their choice!

I chose to use a new stamp that I bought myself for Christmas! Yes I've finally managed to get my hands on some Hanglar Stanglar stamps!

I've coloured the image with copics, the flowers are by Wild Orchid, the pattern paper is Basic Grey, the heart border is MS and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join the challenge this week!

Last Christmas Cards for 2010

Hi Everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas ~ I'm just adding a few of my 2010 Christmas cards that I haven't posted yet. Most of these were made for friends to give to family.

This one was made for my friends Grandaughter Laine - she's 12 years old and an animal lover so I thought this image was just right for her.

This card was made using one of the Merry Christmas 2010 Tilda's from my last kit.

I thought I'd try a little patchwork effect for this card using Tilda with Antlers.

Finally I made this card for my Brother and Sister In Law and their family using one of my favourite Tilda's from the Christmas range.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with my final Colour Create Card for 2010.

Merry Christmas Amy

Hi Everyone ~ Still on Christmas Cards!

This card is for my friend's daughter Amy, who isn't really into flowery things so I've just added one large prima flower (and another tiny one she may not even notice :)!

I've used Magnolia papers for my card along with some Pomegranate Cardstock. It's a little hard to see but there's also a bell charm with some really pretty gems on it. Tilda is coloured with copics.

Hope you are all ready for Christmas and not running so late like me!

I'm entering my card in a couple of Anything Goes Challenges at Allsorts Challenge and CES Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas 2010 Cards

Hi Everyone - Wow my second post today! I've taken a day off today to wrap presents and make cards (yes still getting there) and generally catch up!

Still handmade but aimed at getting a lot of cards sent in a short time.
My version of clean and simple and mass produced!

It's a basic white textured card with an embossed gold Christmas Tree with gems placed where the circles appear on the stamp.

Just placing a pic here so that I can keep track of what I made when next year comes around.

Thanks for stopping by

Christmas Edwin with Lights

Good Morning All,

This card was made for a friends 7 year old son for Christmas using Basic Grey Jovial papers. Edwin is coloured with copics and I've used a little clear spica pen on the lights to make them shine!

I've sewn some of the layers and distressed them with a distressing tool and ink.

I thought this chipboard sentiment went perfectly with the cute image of Edwin in trouble with the lights! I've coloured it with my black inkpad and added pearl glimmermist for sparkle.

I'm entering this card in the Cute Card Thursday Challenge -  One for the Kids and also the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge - Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Create - Plum & White

Hi Everyone,

Time for another Colour Create Challenge! This week the colour inspiration was chosen by our wonderful DT Julie who chose Plum and White with the optional extra being Frames. This is the pic that Julie chose to inspire us with:-

Our sponsor this week is One Stop Card Crafts, make sure you stop by and check out the 20% off Christmas stock sale that's on now!

I chose to decorate this chipboard frame for my Colour Create project this week. I painted the borders, bauble cut outs and frame white and add some glitter. The solid baubles and sentiment have been painted then inked and covered with dimensional magic (crystal effects). Silver ribbon secures the baubles to the frame. I've added a glitter flower complete with corner flourish die and brad in the centre and a few gems. The star of the frame is Zoe our much loved and spoilt family member! Unfortunately my project didn't photograph well however my fantastic fellow DT Sharon saved the day - Thanks Sharon!

I'm also entering my photo frame at:-
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Non Traditional Christmas

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check out the fabulous creations the DT at Colour Create have come up with using this pretty colour scheme.

Magnolia DownUnder - Summer

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Welcome to the next Magnolia DownUnder Challenge ~ this week the theme is Summer, very appropriate for us in Australia!

I've chosen this cute Sufer Tilda that I found in my stash of stamped images. Thanks to my friend Deb for that one! To me Summer always means time at the beach so this was perfect.

I've gone for pastel summer shades and used Magnolia Papers for my card. Tilda is colouring with copics in the same shades and I've used a lace doily, cotton lace, pearls and some new flowers. I would have loved to incorporate some real shells but as time wasn't on my side this week I've gone with these shell brads that I've had hidden away forever! I going to enter this card over at Charisma Cardz Challenge - One for the Girls, A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes and at CCEE Stampers - Use Lace too!

I must apologise for the lack of post recently ~ rather a busy time with end of school, Christmas and my Husband's quick visit to hospital! I promise to get around and visit soon :)

Thanks also to Cassie from Cassie Scraps for this lovely award I received but haven't added to my blog yet! Sorry Cassie ~ I really appreciate it receiving it :)

Now I know I'm supposed to pass this award on and mention 10 things about myself and promise to do so soon!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I had a lovely day at Montville yesterday with Jules, Linda and Jenni. Thanks for your company ladies, I had a great day!

I hope your inspired to join in at Magnolia DownUnder this week but sure to drop over and check out the other creations by the talented DT ~ they are wonderful!
