Amy's 13th Birthday Card

Good Morning Everyone!

This card was my for my friends daughter Amy for her 13th Birthday.  Amy love geometric designs and anything that isn't too flowery and girlie - not my usual style! Charisma Cardz Challenge this week is a card for a teenager - edit - oops too late :(
I was very fortunate to be given this gorgeous Geometric pattern paper by my friend Deb. Thanks so much Deb - it was perfect! I think it's be Kaiser from one of the 6x6 paper pads but I'm not 100%

I've used the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Sketch by Domi which was just perfect for these papers.

I chosed this Greeting Farm image as she is so cute and a little sporty - this really suited Amy! She is coloured with copics and mounted on foam dots onto top of a swiss dots embossed panel - that I embossed in reverse. I've added a Lily of the Valley sentiment, some ribbon from Wild Orchid and the flowers and pearls were from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Birthday Julie

Good Morning Everyone,

I can now post my card as Julie celebrated her Birthday on Saturday and has received it! I've gone with a colour combination that I don't normally use but I just loved these papers from the My Minds Eye "Mabel" paper pad. Julie is the owner of Creations in Paper at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast and in the last year encouraged me to teach in her store. I would never have dreamed of taking this step without her so this card is also a big Thank You. I'm therefore entering this card in the Allsorts Challenge - For A Special Lady :)

My Tilda is coloured with Copics, I've added flowers from Magnolia in combination with flowers and ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts. All my panels are inked and sewn and I've also embossed the background with my cuttlebug, added a Nestabilities Scalloped Rectangle and the border punch is by Martha Stewart. My combination makes me eligible for the Bingo Challenge over at Just Magnolia. I'm also entering my card at Magnolia Lovers Challenge - Ribbon and CES Challenge - Die Cut Crazy.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Two Tone Challenge

If you are looking for my Magnolia Down Under Blog Hop post please click here!

Wow time for another Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenge! For this challenge we'd like you to create a card or project that is two tone - if it has an image this can be colour.. but the surroundings are to be Two Tone Colours only.. If pattern paper is used.. try make it a two tone paper.

I chose Teal and Brown as my two colours. The paper is from the Provo Linen Closet Paper Pad and my image is Tilda Waiting - coloured with copics. I've used the Friday Sketchers Challenge layout for my card. I found this gorgeous lace on the weekend at Creations In Paper and couldn't wait to use it!

As you can see in this picture I've used foam dots between some of my layers and also placed Tilda on some foam dots for added dimension. The layers are sewn and ribbon. flowers and pearl finish off the card.

I'd also like to enter my card in the following challenges:-

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Vintage/Shabby

I'm sure many of you may also be aware that Michelle over at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More is requesting cards for a special little girl who is unwell. If you have time to create a card to send you may wish to check Michelle's post here.

Remember to stop by the Creatalicious Challenge and check out the creations by the rest of the team - they are fabulous :)

Colour Create - Green, Brown, Cream & Black

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Welcome to the latest Colour Create Challenge of Green, Brown, Cream and Black. These colours were chosen by our very talented DT Di! This week Di has chosen leaves as the optional extra and this is the pic she has chosen to inspire us with:-

Our generous sponsor Michelle's Scrapbooking (home of Pixie Cottage Stamps) has a wonderful prize of the new Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder-County Cottage for our lucky winner!

Michelle would also like to pass on the following information:-

I have received a shipment of new embossing folders at Michelle's Scrapbooking & More. Use coupon code Colour and receive 10% off your total order till March 15th. I am having a card drive for a little girl who has cancer, if you would like to send her a card to brighten her day, please stop by my blog for the address and details. Thanks!

Before I get to my card we have some mixed news for you today as well. We are welcoming two new DT's to Colour Create! Welcome Kerry and Sylvia, so happy that you've joined us :) Make sure you stop by their blogs and welcome them and check out their wonderful cards for this challenge.

We also have some very sad new too :( Our wonderfully talented DT Dena has decided to say farwell to Colour Create, we will miss her but she has promised to drop by and enter challenges! I've followed Dena's blog for some time and her cards are always beautiful and inspiring, I'll definately be visiting on a regular basis to see what's she's up to :)

I was inspired to ink up Jungle Edwin after looking at Di's picture! My papers are a mixture of My Minds Eye and SU pattern papers. Edwin is coloured with copics and place on foam dots. I've used some more of this fabulous jute ribbon that I'm loving for masculine cards and the leaf ribbon that I've had stashed away for ever! I've added some Wild Orchid flowers but I think I've managed to get away with it - even on a masculine card. The buttons I've also had stashed away forever but they worked well with the theme and colours.

I would also like to enter this card at:-

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you're inspired to join us at Colour Create this week!
