Magnolia Down Under Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

Time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week we have a sketch for you created by our very talented DT Kylie!

This week we also have a very special prize for you to win! Some of the gorgeous papers designed by our very own DT Denise - they look absolutely amazing :) Denise's new collection is called the Couture Collection and is available at Megs Garden.

I've used some of the new My Minds Eye - Lime Twist range again for this card! I'm loving their papers at the moment :) This gorgeous Tilda is from the Butterfly release and she just arrived in the mail this week :)
I've coloured her with copic and added a little glitz.

The flowers and ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts (my fav) and I'm also loving these little gem flowers too for the centre of my bows.

I'd like to enter my card at Allsorts Challenge for their Thing with Wings Challenge, A Spoon Full of Sugar also has a Things with Wings Challenge this week and ABC Challenge this week is V is for Voilet.
Make sure to stop by Magnolia Down Under and check out the other DT versions of our sketch, they all look amazing!

Have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday Brady

Hi Everyone,

This card was made for my eldest son for his 17th Birthday! I can't believe he's almost ready to get his licence after a year of driving lessons with Peter & I.

Brady recently went away to Marine Studies Camp with his school to Pumpkin Island on the Great Barrier Reef... school camps weren't like that when I was at school :) This term in Marine Studies their topic is Recreational Fishing, so he got to spend yesterday afternoon at Noosa fishing... lucky boy!

The one that got away story from camp involved at Coral Trout hence the card.

The papers are from My Minds Eye - Lime Twist, the image is by Wild Rose Studio and embellishments were from my stash.

I'm entering this card over at Allsort Challenge - where they have a photo inspiration to follow (a lovely pic of the beach above), CES Challenge - Embellish It! (my three embellishments are pearls, lace ribbon and starfish charm) and also at Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by

Colour Create - Cream, White & Brown

Hi All, I hope you are having a great week!

Time for another Colour Create Challenge and this time our colours of Cream, White and Brown are combined with an optional extra of one colour of your choice, flowers and buttons.

This wonderful colour combination was chosen by our lovely new DT Sylvia and this is the picture she has chosen to inspire us with:-

We are so happy to be sponsored this week by High Hopes Rubber Stamps who are giving away this wonderful set of stamps to our lucky winner!

I chose to make a shaped card this week and my optional extra colour (which was popular with the other DT's too) was Pink.

This is what the insert looks like when it slides out of the pot! The flowers are from Wild Orchid of course and so is the ribbon. The little flower button and the 6x6 paper pad is by Paper Crate, both of which came from Creations in Paper. The Die I've used was a gift from my Colour Create Secret Santa last year - Thanks Santa!!!

And here is a pic of the pocket pot on it's own:-

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
ABC Challenge - Unusual Fold - the fold is on the bottom of the pot
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girly
Papertake Weekly - Bloom and Grow
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Anything Goes

A few of my Favourite Things

Good Morning All,

Time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week we'd like to see a creation featuring your favourite things!!!

My favourite thing I've used are:-

Polka Dot Paper, Small Floral Prints, Pearls, Wild Orchid Flowers, My Favourtie Lace and Ribbon and I just love these Gem Flowers.... also a favourite colour combination Pink and Green :)

Tilda is coloured with copics and I've used Kaiser 6x6 Papers. The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

I've made this card as a Sympathy Card as it's always handy to have one made. I think this verse is really beautiful and I've used it in the past in Memory Scrapbooks.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the wonderful inspiration cards by the rest of the Magnolia Down Under DT.

Cooking with LaLaLand

Good Morning All,

Firstly I really like to apologise for not being able to visit and very much lately! My links on my blog have been not working 80% of the time and I keep getting a HTTP404 Not Found message even though I know the links are OK! If anyone else has had the same problem I'd love to hear from you :)

My card this time features the lovely Marci from LaLaLand - isn't she cute! I've coloured her with copic and used a 6x6 paper pad from Cosmo Cricket called Mitten Weather. My flowers are from Wild Orchid of course :)  The pearls and ribbon are from my stash and I've sewn the layers. Marci is placed on foam a nestie die that has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder and I've used an EK Sucess border punch.

I just loved this spoon charm and I thought it worked well with the image - I just can't remember where I got it from! It also has a knife and fork with it but I'll use these later on another card.

I'm entering this card in the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Fancy a Punch? Also over at Crazy 4 Challenges for the April Showers/May Flowers Challenge.

Hello Everyone,

It's time for our next Colour Create Challenge and this week the Colours have been chosen by one of our newest DT's Kerry! The colours are Green, Aqua, Purple and White and are just gorgeous :) The optional extra this time is Glitter.

Here is the pic that Kerry has chosen to inspire us with:-

I really enjoyed creating a card with these colours and hope that you'll join us too!

I chose one of my new Magnolia Stamps for this challenge and coloured her with copics before adding some stickles for the touch of glitter to her wings and the little butterfly. My papers are by Melissa Francis combined with some textured cardstock from Creations in Paper. The ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid with the exception of the blue tulips which are from Magnolia.

This is a close up of the gorgeous gem butterfly I found at Creations in Paper.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:-

Stamp Something - Something with Wings

Magnolia Down Under - Ribbon & Lace

Good Morning Everyone!

So sorry for the lack of posts lately - I've been on an extended Easter Break as my Boss closed the business between Easter and the following Long Weekend (WooHoo 11 consecutive days off!!)

Today I have my card for the latest Magnolia Down Under Challenge - this time we'd like to see some lace and ribbon used together on your card or project.

I've decided to try a twisted Easel Card - my first attempt and I've gone for some really bright colours that I normally don't use :)

The papers are from a 6x6 Cosmo Cricket paper pad and I've combined them with some Pale Mauve and Bright Teal Bazzill.  I've had the rest of the supplies I've used in my stash forever and I've gone with some flat flowers that I never really use much anymore - must try to!!! (I have sooooo many). The large gems and bright purple satin ribbon for the finishing touches really give the card a lift - but too much I hope..... it is very bright :)

The sentiment is from Just Rite -  newly aquired purchase as I need some beautiful verses.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:-

Simon Says Stamp - Any Goes - Happy Second Anniversay!!
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Flower Challenge
Charisma Cardz - April Showers/May Flowers

Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to prepare myself for my son's 15th Birthday Party - just him and 12 of his closest friend spending the night!!!! Wish me luck :)
