Birthday Edwin

Good Afternoon All,

This is a card I made using this weeks Recipe from C.R.A.F.T Challenge - 1 Tag. 2 Circles (one of mine is the red pinking edge) and 3 Squares/Rectangles.

I've coloured Edwin with Copics and the papers I've used are from My Minds Eye. I've also colour the star pins with my Copics using the air gun. These are stars are great, they are clear when you purchase them so you can change them to suit your card.

I'm also entering my card at Cards for Men Challenge as their theme this challenge is stars and the Papertake Weekly Challenge has a theme of Here Comes the Sun which I think my colour scheme and image work with a Summer theme.

That's all for now, I'll be back on Thursday afternoon (my time) with my Colour Create card (hopefully not to exhausted from the End of Financial Year Stocktake!!).

Thanks for stopping by,

Magnolia Down Under - Stitches and Swirls

Good Morning All,

Well what a week! It all started last Sunday afternoon when I had to take my husband to emergency at Noosa Hospital after he tried to chop the end off his thumb rather than the broccoli! Anyway three hours and some stitches later we arrived home to notice our beloved family dog just wasn't herself. The next morning I took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with pancreatitis and had to spend three days on an IV drip.
She is now back with us and recovering - Thank Goodness! She honestly has to be the most expensive dog in town with her two reconstructed knees and now this :) But we love her to bits and would be lost without her!

Which brings me to my card... about time! I was just preparing to make my card when all this trouble erupted last Sunday afternoon:)

The challenge at Magnolia Down Under this week is to add stitching and swirls to your card. We also have a terrific prize up for grabs this week by our wonderful new sponsor Stempel Phantasien a store owned by our teammie Kathrin!

Here is a pic of the prize Kathrin has on offer

I chose these English Rose Kaiser papers for my card as they had swirls on them and added a few of my usual favourites Wild Orchid Flowers, Ribbon, Lace and Pearls. Which makes my card an entry at Stampin for the Weekend - My Favourite Things and A Spoonfull of Sugar - Ribbons and Bows.

Tilda is coloured with copics and I've added these cute key and locket charms from Prima. The photography isn't the best as one of my darling children has been using my camera and playing with my settings :(

This week at Magnolia Down Under we also welcome a new DT Lori. Lori's creations are just gorgeous, so make sure you drop by Magnolia Down Under and check out the cards by Lori all of the DT.

My image is LOTV and I've used some of my new DooHickey Dies from Magnolia. The flower templete die that I've used to create my Vellum Flowers is from MFT. The flowers are cut from Vellum and inked with Blue Ink and rolled and secured with these large pearl brads that my friend Deb gave me :)

70th Birthday

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post tonight as it's getting late....

This card was one I made at the request of our neighbours who have a 70th Birthday to attend this weekend. The recipient is a real handyman/tinkerer so this stamp by I Brake For Stamps was just right.

The papers are by Kaiser and the metal embellishments has been in my stash for such a long time, it was good to get to use them.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:-

Charisma Cardz - How Old?
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy
Papertake Weekly - Dads and Lads

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with my Colour Create Card!

Magnolia Down Under - Alter Something

Good Morning Everyone!

My apologies for the lack of posts between work, homelife and illness things have been very busy here lately!

WOW time for another challenge at Magnolia Down Under and this week it's time to alter something! I searched the house looking for something to alter and came up with this caddy that held some of my paints.

 Here is the before shot:-

Unfortunately the weather is rather dull, cold and horrible here at the moment and my creation hasn't photograped very well!

The beautiful butterfly paper is by Magnolia, and the flowers are from Prima. In the photo the flower colour doesn't look such a great match but IRL the paper and flowers do match a lot better than they appear too!

I've used some chipboard letters that I've had forever and a chipboard butterfly on the end of the caddy.

I'm also entering my caddy creation at:-

Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

I spent the day with friends at the Papercraft Expo in Brisbane yesterday and was a little disappointed. It seemed a lot smaller than last year and was very crowded. I did come home with a few bargains however :)
My friend's daughter is visiting today to make a card for a school friend so we should have a fun girlie day trying out some of my new toys. It's a long weekend for us so I'm really hoping to make the most of it and catch up on some cards.

Be sure to stop by Magnolia Down Under and check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team - they look wonderful!

Colour Create - Purple Blue & Silver

Hi Everyone!

It's my turn to choose the Colours this week at Colour Create and I'm afraid I set the team a bit of a hard task as I chose Purple, Blue and Silver which isn't too bad but because it's Father's Day in the UK and USA soon I've made the optional extra Father's Day or Masculine!

Here is the Pic to inspire you:-

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe's and you can be in draw to win a Voucher just by joining us in the challenge!

I found this image by Wild Rose Studio which I thought would work for either Father's Day or a Masculine Birthday Card.

My papers are from My Minds Eye, the ribbon with silver stars and the little silver star brads I've had forever:) I'm loving the star pins at the moment - they are great sprayed with the copic air gun as you can make them any colour to match your card. It is hard to see but the purple pattern paper has a tiny blue dot.

I like to enter my card at Simon Says Stamps Challenge - Father's Day/Card for a Male and also The ABC Challenge - V is for Variety - at least 3 different embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to drop by Colour Create to see what wonderful creations the rest of the team came up with!
