Magnolia Down Under - Decorated Paper Bag

Good Morning Everyone,

We have something a little big different for you today at Magnolia Down Under, this week we'd like you to decorate a paper bag for use as a gift bag.

I've recycled a brown paper bag that I received whilst shopping. It was quite tall (my Magnolia image is the standard size not a mini), so I had to come up with a design that filled the space at the top and bottom and the large flower ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts was just a perfect space filler. I've added some large pearl brads to the centre of the ribbon flowers too.

My papers are from Maja Designs, I've coloured my image with Copics and added a touch of glitz to the flowers and tiny liquid pearls dots around the image. The edges are distressed and inked with Antique Linen distress ink. The Tag and Flourish Dies are from Magnolia, the border die at the top if from MFT and I've also used the Spellbinder Nestabilities Dies too.

I'd like to enter my bag into these challenges:-

Midweek Magnolias - Anything but a Card
Simon Says Challenge - Anything but a Card
Allsorts Challenge - Any Die will Do
Simply Magnolia - Garden Blooms

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Little Darlings - Sugar & Spice Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

I'm so excited to be part of the Little Darlings Challenge Blog Hop today as a Special Guest!

The Blog Hop is to celebrate the brand new release of these gorgeous new Little Cutie Pie "In the Garden" images. The set comprises of 4 Character Stamps, a Background Stamp and a Sentiment Set. Our theme for the hop is Sugar and Spice which means all things girly (may favourite type of card!)

Now I hope you've found your way to me via Sheri and I'm sure you'll agree her creation was just stunning, however if you've just happened to arrive here by luck you can start the hop at the begining with Angela!

I've chosen this beautiful little Cutie Pie image called "Just Diggin It" and teamed it with this gorgeous sentiment from the Sentiment Set.

I've used copics to colour this little cutie and added a touch of stickles to the centre of the flower. I've used a lot of goodies I purchased at the Papercraft Show in Brisbane on Saturday including this pretty paper by g.c.d. studios called Tara "Ella Blue Collection", the adorable little charm and the lace! I've teamed my papers with some SU Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla Cardstock and some gorgeous blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here's a close up of the sentiment, I've added a Melissa Francis Village embellishment and a punched butterfly and matted it with some striped paper from the My Minds Eye Lost and Found Sunshine 6x6 Paperpad cut out with SU Punches.

Now there's just one more team member to hop to and that's the amazingly talented Angie, I can't wait to see what she's created with these gorgeous images!

Thank you so much for joining me and I hope you're enjoying the hop!

Magnolia Down Under - Winter

WOW Finally here.... I've been trying since last Thursday to post my Magnolia Down Under Card with no success! I've now changed my browser and it seems to be working so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

I particularly wanted to schedule the post as I was away at the Brisbane Paper and Craft Expo where I got to meet my lovely team mates from MDUC Karen and Debbie P! It was so wonderful to finally put some faces to the names:) So funny as I always imagined Debbie P to be a lot taller in person (I have no idea why), so I was really checking to see if it was her and almost scared the life out of her! Who was this strange woman staring at her?... Just me

Anyway on with the post... I've used some very old Basic Grey Papers from the Figgy Pudding range along with some SU Soft Sky and White Cardstock and teamed it with this gorgeous Frosty Magnolia Stamp. The gorgeous large snowflake was a present from my wonderful MDUC Secret Santa last year, they are just beautiful and I'm so glad for the opportunity to use one of them. I've also used my new Memory Box Border Die, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch (white) and MFT Snowflake Die (Soft Sky) and lots and lots of stickles and gems!

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:-
TOMIC - 1st Anniversary Anything Goes
Midweek Magnolias - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by,

Creations In Paper

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a quick post this morning with the card that I've created for the June Creations in Paper cardmaking class. As you know Julie has closed her shopfront and moved the business online, however many of our regular attendees still wanted to get together for classes.

Julie and I have decided to create one card each and get together once a month for a class and a catch up with everyone. This month we have both chosen to use the new papers and stamps from Magnolia's Summer Memories Range.

My card features Flip Flop Tilda with the Flamingo Flowers paper and to see Julie's gorgeous card featuring Summer Flower Tilda with the Magnolia's paper Worn Rose Wallpaper just pop over to her blog where she has all the details.

Have a wonderful day,
